Heart of Kent Hospice
Heart of Kent Hospice is an independent, local charity providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care and support to adults living with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Maidstone and the surrounding areas.
The hospice first opened its doors in 1991 and it has since cared for almost 60,000 patients and their families. Their care is local, free and is offered to everyone who needs it. Last year the hospice cared for over 1,900 people and their families. Their services cost £6million a year to run, with over £5million raised through the generosity of its local community.
Today, the hospice has a caseload of nearly 1,000 patients that they are supporting in the community. Everyone who has received support from the Hospice tells of the difference they have made by making every day precious at the most difficult of times.
Importantly, much of the work undertaken by the hospice is in the community – so for them, a central location is key to ensuring delivery of their service is as effective as possible.
The hospice has been based at Preston Hall (Aylesford, Kent, ME20 7PU) in Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council since 1991, and it now has 160 employees, more than 550 volunteers, 14 charity shops and a variety of services delivered across the community.
Coral Living
Coral Living designs and develops modern, bespoke new homes in the UK - specially designed for people with learning disabilities and austistic people. Each unit is designed to meet the life-long needs of selected individuals, and to enable tenants to be provided with direct assistance whilst enjoying an independent life.
The units are designed to enable adults with care and support needs to live independently with enhanced quality of life.
Aspire LPP
Aspire design and deliver best-in-class care homes providing excellent living accommodation for the elderly frail in need of high dependency care.
Despite the well-documented ageing population across the country, it has been the case for many years that more care homes close each year than are opened. Many people are living in unsuitable accommodation without the access to the level of care they need due to insufficient delivery of new care homes with the necessary facilities and amenities.
Our homes are bespoke and designed to respond to and reflect the local character and vernacular. Each room contains a private en-suite wetroom, along with access to a range of communal, semi-private and outdoor amenity spaces including activity spaces.
